The existing floating wind turbine prototypes face challenges such as high steel consumption per megawatt, high cost, and difficulties in large-scale development. The team has invented a hybrid floating wind turbine platform combining semi-submersible and spar-type designs. The design has been certified by the China Classification Society and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level, with some technical and performance indicators leading the world.

Establish the "Offshore Floating Wind Turbine Joint Innovation Project (JIP) Alliance" with the goal of industrializing offshore floating wind turbine equipment. Develop a comprehensive set of technologies for the basic design, manufacturing, transportation, and installation testing of deep-sea floating wind turbines. Provide technical solutions for the research and development of high-load-bearing, low-cost, and high-reliability deep-sea ultra-large floating wind turbine foundations. Generate a series of innovative achievements and demonstrate their applications.
